Yosemite Day 4: Sugar Pine Railroad

As many of you can imagine, after Wednesday’s brutal hike to the Half Dome, we spent most of Thursday relaxing. As soon as Captain America finished his conference, we drove down to the Sugar Pine Railroad to check it out but not before off-roading it up some random trails we discovered close by. As soon as we got to Sugar Pine, we hopped aboard the last train ride for the day, which took us on an hour long ride down 4 miles…of absolutely nothing. I’ll be perfectly honest, the ride itself was not the most exciting thing in the world. The conductor spoke of the history of the locomotives, which used to haul massive log trains back in the day, and that was the extent of it.

Channeling my inner lady Choo choo Allllll aboaaaaard!

Two assholes ride a train

After a quick snack there, we read our books, while waiting for Timberloft Pizzeria to open for dinner. We shared a delicious pie and jetted back over to Tenaya Lodge to enjoy the pool and hot tub one last time.

The following morning, we packed up. Cap finished his conference on its final day, and we drove all the way back down to LA.
